Dr. DiStefano is an East Texas native with a wife and two children. He is a devoted Christian and an avid fisherman. He completed his undergraduate study and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He then attended dental school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After dental school he completed a residency program which allowed him to gain valuable experience allowing him to provide advanced treatment beyond the scope of most general dentists. During his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency he was able to work with dental specialists such as orthodontists, oral surgeons, prosthodontists (crowns, bridges, and dentures), periodontists (soft tissues), endodontists (root canals), and pediatric dentists.
After completing his training, Dr. DiStefano proudly served five years in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He provided care for soldiers and sailors at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Gulfport, Mississippi. During this time he completed deployments which took him to places such as Spain and Iraq. He earned the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 2005 and was honorably discharged from reserve service in 2008.
Dr. DiStefano holds memberships with the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He strives to continually add to his knowledge of dental care through challenging continuing education courses. He has implemented modern techniques and technology into his practice such as digital radiography, Cerec, Invisalign, among others. Dr. DiStefano is devoted to providing the most advanced modern dental care possible and uses only the best materials modern dentistry can provide.
